About Us

We are also a member of the Federation of Irish Beekepers’ Associations, which is a not-for-profit, umbrella organisation of beekeeper groups around the country. Currently, there are 61 affiliated Associations, which between them have over 3,500 members. FIBKA provides unity and strength in numbers, in its promotion of the interests of bees, beekeepers and beekeeping in Ireland.

If you have any interest in beekeeping then get in touch with us, you will be very welcome! Besides attending one of our courses, it is also possible to become a member of the Association. Then you can too join our monthly meetings and participate in our many enjoyable events!

Our Services

The Kingdom Beekeepers’ Association provides an opportunity for individual bee enthusiasts and beekeepers to get together online or in Tralee. We run beekeeping courses and workshops, host regular meetings for members and also provide information on any upcoming local talks or events that may be relevant to those interested in learning more about beekeeping.

Our Mission

Our main aim is to promote awareness of the importance of bees. They are the world’s most important pollinator of food crops and are integral to our survival. The fact that numbers are dwindling at an alarming rate is having an detrimental  effect on our ecosystem. By educating at a local level and providing support for individual beekeepers we hope to help increase bee numbers and help the environment.
