Kingdom Beekeepers Tralee (KBKA) are a very busy beekeeping club with a proactive membership and an ambitious committee.
During a typical year we hold training courses, hold club nights and invite guest speakers from around the world to educate and entertain. We try to help each other in our beekeeping journey. We donate to Bees for Development which enable organisations in developing countries to train local people to keep bees to enable a living for themselves.
We have a training apiary sited on the North campus of MTU Tralee where we are raising bees for educational purposes with our own members and with other interested parties. We gained the support of the MTU green campus committee because they understood the real boost in the support of pollinators that our experienced involvement would bring. As part of this initiative we include interested ITT students in our current beginners course and activities. There is so much that can be achieved on the site and we very much welcome donations and sponsorships from local organisations, businesses and interested individuals. We recently welcomed the arrival of a “Pink Lady” hive, a business co-operation relating to apples and pollinators.
Would you provide us with the opportunity to continue our work for bees, pollinators in general and the environment? We have the facility, the ambition and strong membership to succeed. We hope you can view our ambitions sympathetically and should you need more detail then please let us know.
Donations to the club will be used to promote and enhance the activities of the club.
If you have agreed to buy products from the apiary such as nucs, queens or honey, then payment for the goods received can be made here.
